Minecraft 1.21.100.20 Beta – The developers have released a new test version for Android, introducing 12 changes and fixing 45 bugs.

New Features

The game has received 5 key improvements:

• Descriptions have been added to all settings options.
• Slider usability has been enhanced.
• Text-to-speech functionality is now active when adding servers.
• Audio settings have been updated.

Java and Bedrock Parity

• "Swamp" and "Mangrove Swamp" biomes now feature one-block deep puddles.
• New background sound intervals for animals (6 seconds) and Ghasts (4 seconds) have been added.
• Open water areas now appear on the surface of the "Frozen Ocean" biome.
• Water and underwater fog color tones in the "Swamp" biome have been adjusted.
• Spawn points in the End can now be set using commands.
• Trees in the "Grove" biome now spawn less frequently.
• Tree generation in the "Snowy Plains" biome has been intensified.
• Mushrooms are correctly placed under trees.
• The "Deep Frozen Ocean" biome now consists solely of its designated area.
• Seagrass no longer causes ice surface defects in freezing water biomes.
• Podzol will always generate under large pine and spruce trees.
• Podzol-covered areas have been expanded.

Bug Fixes

• The skin change button works again on Android.
• Xbox cloud saves no longer increase in size with every use.
• Mangrove roots now have a consistent color.
• Textures for chain objects have been corrected.
• Lead knots disappear instantly when their support block breaks.
• Mobs can no longer be tied to walls.
• Character animations using emotes don’t freeze in boats anymore.
• Telescope and Fire effects are now properly calibrated.
• Aggressive Piglins disappear when the Peaceful difficulty is enabled.
• Glowing squid tethering has been fixed.
• Teleportation issues from the End to the Overworld have been resolved.
• Leads now attach correctly to the player’s hand in first-person mode.
• Ghast rotation during vertical dismount is now accurate.
• Rare game crashes during pauses on Xbox have been addressed.
• Thrown experience bottles now emit light.
• Minor interface issues have been resolved.
