What mobs will be added to Minecraft 1.21

The upcoming release of Minecraft 1.21 continues to be filled with rumors and new information from developers who are trying to maintain the interest of fans, interesting innovations and previously unseen content. Recently, Mojang studio has changed the tradition of releasing global updates, which are now released every year. But if the reduction in the time frame for releasing releases has decreased (to our happiness), then the annual vote for the title of New Mob has remained the same. This annual ritual will be performed soon.

As mentioned above, the annual vote for a new inhabitant of Minecraft, which will take place on October 13, invites players to independently choose their future companion. At the moment, there are 3 known candidates: Armadillo, Penguin, and Crab. Next I will talk about them in more detail.

Crab

Crabs are the first contender announced by Mojang studio. This mob loves wet areas, and therefore can be found in Mangrove Swamps. In principle, like any other mob, the Crab also has useful abilities, the main one of which is the Crab Claw. By acquiring the Crab Claw in their arsenal, players will be able to improve their construction skills by being able to place blocks over a long distance.

Armadillo

But this candidate is worth taking a closer look at. Armadillos are peaceful animals by nature, and the developers promise to convey their behavioral traits in detailed accuracy. Their peacefulness lies in their behavior, which means that they will not attack the player even when they are attacking them. The main behavioral reaction to a threat will be to curl up into a shell - the main protective tool of this type of animal.

The Armadillo's habitat is Savannah - warm biomes with minimal vegetation and plenty of sunlight. According to the developers' announcement, Armadillos will shed their scales, just like turtles. This shell can be used as armor for Wolves, which is what players have been waiting for for so long.

Penguin

The third and final contender for a new inhabitant of the Minecraft universe. As little is known about these inhabitants of the water world as about the above-mentioned animals. Penguins are also peace-loving mobs that will not pose a danger to researchers. If they win the vote, they will inhabit the Rocky Shores - biomes washed by water.

Since they are primarily aquatic, they have an advantage in terms of speed in the aquatic environment, and vice versa - they will be more clumsy on land. Among the useful properties that players will be able to use, one can highlight the acceleration of the watercraft, namely the boat on which the player is located.

Summarizing all of the above, we can highlight the friendliness of all participants in the Minecraft Live 2023 voting. In addition, judging by the habitats of these animals, the developers are trying to diversify biomes, which, as we know, are not particularly distinguished by an abundance of interesting content. Well, we will find out who will win the difficult struggle on October 15th.
