Minecraft 1.21.40.20 Beta

Minecraft 1.21.40.20 Beta is a new beta that has added significant fixes to how items work. The bulk of the changes concern the “Bundles” item, but the authors have also added a number of fixes in addition to this block. Read on for more details.

Experimental features:

• Now when selecting a Bundle item from the quick access panel and using a gamepad, the "Apply" hint is displayed;
• This button allows you to remove items from the bundle;
• Using a shortcut from the quick access panel is accompanied by a sound signal and animation when removing items;
• The quick access bar for links now displays a fill indicator;
• The hint about the placement of the bundle has been adapted by the developers to the safe area of the smartphone display;
• The "Swap" hint is visible when hovering over another object;
• The "Place" hint appears on all interfaces when holding an object with a gamepad;
• When using a bundle, only one part of the elements is emptied at a time;
• The "Clear Hotbar" tooltip appears when hovering over a keybind if the corresponding toggle is enabled and a controller is used.

Fixed bugs

• Vines placed via commands now display correctly;
• The "mushroom stem" block is now independent and is not a variation of the "red" and "brown mushroom blocks";
• The "skull" block is divided into seven unique types: "skeleton skull", "zombie head", "creeper head", "dragon head", "piglin head", and others;
• Wind bolts cannot be redirected immediately after being thrown;
• Interacting with a bed will now set it as a respawn point, regardless of nearby enemies;
• Players who hit the world boundary maintain their speed, such as continuing to glide when flying with Elytra;
• Fixed an issue on iOS where the game would turn pink when zoomed in significantly;
• On Nintendo Switch, changes have been made to improve the loading speed of adjacent sections at maximum frame rate.
