Minecraft 1.26.10.21 Beta - Recently, the developers released a new test version for Android, and as usual, I’m here to share the most interesting details with you. This time, we have a new plant with unique mechanics — the Golden Dandelion, along with updates for mob babies and important technical fixes. Let’s break it all down step by step.
Golden Dandelion
The highlight of this update is undoubtedly the Golden Dandelion. It’s not just another decorative flower but a functional item that many have been waiting for.
Key features:
- Stops baby growth. Yes, now you can keep your favorite mobs small and cute forever. Just feed the baby this flower, and it will stop growing.
- Simple crafting. Made from a regular Dandelion and one Gold Nugget. It’s affordable enough for mass use.
- Doesn’t work on everyone. It’s important to note that the flower’s magic doesn’t affect hostile mobs, Tadpoles, or Villagers.

Of course, since this is a test version, there are some shortcomings. For example, using the flower currently lacks sound effects or particles. Additionally, it can’t be used to make Suspicious Stew or Yellow Dye, and Piglins oddly ignore its golden essence.
The idea is simply brilliant! How many times have I built special pens for cute foxes or baby goats, only for them to grow up in a few days? Now you can create entire “nurseries” without worry. I hope animations and sounds are added by the release to make the mechanic feel more complete.
Important changes
Besides the new flower, the update brought other notable changes.
- Updated mob baby models. Baby Polar Bears, Goats, Foxes, Camels, Armadillos, Llamas, and Bees received updated models. A small detail, but nice! Additionally, baby Polar Bears will now attack Foxes, adding a bit more life to the world.
- Texture streaming. A new option in the video settings reduces the load on the graphics card memory. It currently works only on certain devices, but it’s a great step toward optimization for owners of less powerful smartphones.
- Undead behavior. Zombie Horses are no longer afraid of sunlight. Additionally, Zombie Horses, Skeleton Horses, and Cadaver Camels have learned to avoid water and dangerous blocks, though they still confidently walk on rails for some reason.

Updating baby models is always a good thing, making the game visually more appealing. However, optimization through texture streaming is truly significant, helping many play with fewer lags. As for undead behavior, it makes sense, though ignoring rails seems a bit odd. Perhaps it’s a temporary bug.
Fixed issues
The developers fixed around 15 bugs. Here are the most significant ones:
- The text-to-speech function now activates immediately without restarting the game.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when climbing stairs.
- The player no longer flickers when flying at high speed toward the camera.
- Fixed texture resolution for Bags and Wolf Armor.
- Skeleton Horse babies no longer grow up (apparently, this was a bug).
- Fixed crashes when opening the Realms tab.

Bug fixes are routine but very important work. It’s especially pleasing that crashes and visual glitches have been resolved. Also, the fact that Skeleton Horse babies no longer grow by default makes them even rarer and more valuable as “collectible” mobs.
