Minecraft 26.33.01

(full version)

Minecraft 26.33.01 (Badrock) - the developers have released a new full version for Android. This update is a classic hotfix: the studio fixed an annoying bug so subtly that many players may not even notice the difference. Still, for a certain part of the community, it mattered.

Fixed bugs

The update is very small, but precise. Here’s what was included in the fix list:

  • Fixed texture bleeding on custom blocks. This is the patch’s main highlight. The bug appeared during automatic UV mapping of block faces: if the source texture was smaller than required, the engine would “stretch” it and pull in pieces of neighboring textures onto the faces. As a result, strange fragments, streaks, and artifacts appeared on the cube where they shouldn’t have been.
  • Stabilized texture atlas handling for custom content. When UV coordinates are assigned automatically, the engine packs textures into a shared atlas. If the source image size was incorrect, a face could “spill over” into the area of a neighboring image — causing the bleeding.
  • Improved rendering accuracy for non-standard blocks in addons and resource packs. Mod creators no longer need to manually fine-tune texture sizes to perfect values just to avoid visual bugs.

In essence, it’s a single fix, but it resolves a whole layer of issues that addon creators had been dealing with for years.
