The MineMoney mod is a neat solution to the above problem, which adds banknotes and coins to the game. You will only have to put a price tag on the proposed items and conduct an honest exchange with the players

The addon adds banknotes, coins, a bundle of money, and other variants of monetary units.

As in the real world, no one will give you money just like that, and to get it you need to work, fishing, killing creatures, or, at worst, exchange with a merchant.

Gold coins can be exchanged for banknotes and vice versa.
