Minecraft 1.21.130.28 Beta

Minecraft 1.21.130.28 Beta - A test version for Android has been released, bringing a couple of notable changes for fans of the «Chaos Mounts», along with some bug fixes by the developers.

Before diving into the changes, let me briefly explain for those unfamiliar with these creatures. The «Chaos Mounts» are special rideable mobs first announced for Minecraft during the 2025 holiday season as part of the Mounts of Mayhem update.

They introduced a new riding mechanic to the game, making movement, combat participation, and world exploration more diverse. The «Chaos Mounts» come in various forms, including unique gear and armor, offering plenty of tactical and collectible opportunities.

Key Changes to the «Chaos Mounts»

  • Netherite horse armor and nautilus armor now grant your mount 0.1 units of knockback resistance.
  • Zombie horses no longer spawn in Peaceful mode.

After reviewing these changes, I have mixed feelings. On one hand, it’s nice to see that mount armor now actually impacts gameplay — even if slightly, it’s an interesting addition. Especially if you often engage in combat while mounted, this small detail will definitely not go unnoticed!

The ban on zombie horse spawns in Peaceful mode — is a logical step, making gameplay fairer for beginners and children. It’s a bit sad that the game loses some rare and fun details, but balance and transparency, in my opinion, are more important.

Fixed Bugs

  • On Windows, the profile logout button is no longer available — you now need to log out via Xbox.
  • The IME (Input Method Editor) position has been fixed so the window displays correctly when entering text.

A few words about the technical updates are also worth mentioning. The IME fix — is a niche but very useful feature for those writing in complex languages (e.g., with characters); finally, the input window no longer jumps around randomly. However, the requirement to log out only through Xbox raises questions: it might be good for security, but now everything is a bit more complicated, and personally, I find this decision at least somewhat strange. It would be nice to have the option to choose how to manage our profiles more conveniently.

Overall, the mini-update turned out to be modest but useful — though not without some controversial additions.

When installing the Beta (test) version, it is advisable to make backup copies of the worlds
