Minecraft 26.43.01 (Badrock) - well, folks, the developers are back at it again and have released a new full version on Android. After the major Chaos Cubed release, players flooded them with complaints: crashes, disappearing textures, and all the usual joys of life. Then on August 10, a fresh hotfix dropped. Small, but very needed in places. Let’s break down what they changed — and why one point, personally, raised some questions for me.

What exactly was fixed

Officially, the patch includes 3 fixes. Not much? Maybe. But each one hits a real pain point for players:

Crashes during gameplay were removed. Survival mode was hit especially hard — people were losing progress for no reason. At last, you can mine without developing a nervous tic.
Disappearing textures when entering a world were fixed. The bug showed up if the network connection changed during loading — for example, when a phone switched from Wi-Fi to mobile data. The world would load «naked,» without assets. A small thing, but incredibly annoying.
Cloud storage for worlds on Windows was temporarily disabled— to sort out the issues that were found.

Why disabling the cloud is a debatable decision

This is where I want to reflect a bit. Microsoft (owners of Mojang, let me remind you) went ahead and turned off cloud saves on Windows. The wording is simple: «temporarily, to fix problems.» But let’s be honest — that sounds worrying.

What’s good about it:

If the cloud was glitching and corrupting worlds, it’s better to shut it down than lose a city someone spent months building.
At least the developers acknowledged the problem and reacted quickly instead of staying silent for months.
Local saves are still there — so you can keep playing without worry.

My advice here is simple: make manual local backups. Don’t rely only on the cloud — not in Minecraft, and not anywhere else. While Mojang is fixing its little cloud, your real safety net is your own copy on disk.

In short — this is one of those cases where a small patch matters more than a big one. Three points, but all to the point. Crashes and textures — that’s a direct quality-of-life improvement, and for that the developers deserve a big plus.
