Minecraft 26.45.1

The developers have released Minecraft update 26.45, focused on fixing bugs found in the previous version of the game. The patch is gradually rolling out across all supported platforms — release timing may vary depending on required approval procedures.

• The update was published on August 14, 2026. It does not add major gameplay mechanics, but it fixes a number of issues related to commands, interface, items, world loading, and user-generated content.

What changed in Minecraft 26.45

Commands

• Players without operator status no longer see the expanded character selection list when using certain commands, including /tell. This change makes command behavior more appropriate to the user's access level.

Graphics

• A bug has been fixed where bright visual effects could be disabled after loading a world with education features enabled. Visual effects should now remain active regardless of the selected settings.

Sign-in and controls

• On Android devices, the «Back» button is once again working as expected. Instead of sending the game to the background, it performs the standard back action within Minecraft.

Items and weapons

• An issue with the bow has been fixed. An arrow fired from a lightly drawn bow can no longer unexpectedly hit the player who fired it.

Stability

• The developers fixed a crash that could disconnect players while loading worlds with certain additional materials. This should improve game stability when using third-party or user-created content.

Inventory interface

• In Creative mode, when using Pocket UI, the Shift key now works correctly. Pressing an item no longer deletes it — instead, it is quickly moved to an empty inventory slot.
• Technical changes
• A bug related to the minecraft:dimension_bounds parameter has been fixed. Previously, some values set in the dimension's JSON file could be ignored. In version 26.45, dimension boundary settings should now be processed correctly.
