How to feed an animal in Minecraft 1.20

Feeding animal mobs in Minecraft 1.20 or earlier is a simple action. Also, as it applies to oneself, in the presence of products, an important action is aiming at the animal by approaching. But there are also not quite usual features of feeding, applicable, for example, to blocks of hay - here a slightly different principle.

Procedure for feeding

• First of all, you need to place the product in the player's character's hand or through the inventory screen - by highlighting the item on the hotbar;
• Approach an animal (mob) press use item (on controller) or right click on PC. If you are located at the right distance from the mob, then there should be a transfer of food to him, while emitting hearts will occur;
• With regards to hay bales, in this case you just need to put next to them. The animal will come by itself and will be eaten, except when the animal is in the breeding stage.

Most often, animals will accept such gifts and completely refresh themselves. Accordingly, the manifestation of hearts indicates that they are very pleased with the care of them.
