Minecraft 1.26.2.01

(full version)

Minecraft 1.26.2.01 (Bedrock) — Mojang developers have once again captured the gaming community's attention by releasing the full version of the sandbox for Android. This time, we have an extremely minimalist update containing just one fix. Let's take a look at what exactly has changed and discuss what this approach might mean for the game's future development.

What was fixed?

The Mojang team focused all their efforts on solving one critical issue that caused significant inconvenience for mod enthusiasts.

  • Fixed a bug causing crashes in worlds with add-ons. Many players experienced issues where worlds containing mods or add-ons either wouldn't load at all or loaded with severe graphical glitches, such as missing textures. This made using custom content nearly impossible. Now, this issue has been resolved, and players can once again enjoy their favorite mods without worry.

What was added in Minecraft 1.26?

While this update seems modest and addresses only one critical issue, it's impossible not to recall the much richer previous update — Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.0. That one truly had a lot to discuss!

Here are the main highlights of the previous version:

  • Name Tag crafting. Now, you can craft name tags for mobs using paper and any metal nugget. A small detail, but it greatly simplifies life for those who love naming their pets and creating personalized worlds!
  • Updated models and animations for baby mobs. Small cows, wolves, sheep, rabbits, cats, and others received a new look, bounding boxes were adjusted to match the Java Edition, and new sounds and special animations were added, especially for baby rabbits.
  • Spawn egg — now with babies. Use a spawn egg, and a baby mob of the selected type will appear instead of an adult.
  • Swimming animations for nautilus. This underwater creature now looks much more realistic and agile, delighting those who love oceans and underwater adventures.
  • New version numbering system. The release number is now tied to the year of release, making navigation a bit clearer — version 26.0 and beyond.

That's not all: developers worked on interface improvements, parity with Java, and made numerous technical fixes and enhancements for content creators. The attention to detail and small features that make players' lives more diverse is especially pleasing.

Even if you prefer the classic game without add-ons, it's still worth installing this patch for stability alone: while the changes are few, the peace of mind and absence of unnecessary problems are priceless.
