Minecraft 26.44.03 - well, friends, the developers have made themselves heard again. The full Android version is out, and as usual, I jumped in right away to see what was new.
Honestly, the update is pretty modest. Just 6 bug fixes and 1 technical change. But let’s go through everything in order.

Fixed bugs
I’ll go over each point and add a bit of context, because even a short bug-fix list often hides something important.
- Advanced character selection via commands was removed for non-operators. Previously, a player without operator rights could use commands to "reach" self-selection where they were not supposed to. In essence, it was a hole in the permission logic. A small thing on paper, but crucial for servers and maps built around command mechanics.
- Bright visual effects now disable correctly in Education mode. There was an annoying issue: when loading a world in Education mode, the effects did not turn off properly. For classrooms where kids play using a projector, this was a real problem — it strained the eyes and made the image feel overly bright.
- The "Back" button on Android was fixed. The "Back" button is basic phone navigation. When it glitches, playing just becomes irritating. Good to see they addressed it.
- A lightly charged arrow no longer hits the player. A sensible fix. Shooting a bow and taking damage from your own shot was, to put it mildly, strange. Now the mechanic behaves predictably.
- Loading into worlds with addons was fixed. A huge plus for those who live on mods and add-ons.
- Quick inventory slot movement in the Pocket version was fixed. Fast item transfer is all about convenience. On a phone, every extra tap is annoying, so everyone playing with their fingers on the screen will appreciate this one.
Of course, I would have liked more. More content, more detail in the patch notes, more surprises. But sometimes a game just needs to "tidy up the house," and that is perfectly normal too.
What do you think? Did you notice these changes, or did the update pass you by? Share your thoughts in the comments — I’ll read every one.
