Minecraft 26.50.04 - The developers have released the full Android version. This is the final release of the third 2026 drop, officially titled Wilderness Bound.

The update introduces the new Mottled Forest biome, the new Abandoned Camp structure, and a major expansion of the building toolkit.

Mottled Forest

The Mottled Forest is a new biome with a strong autumn atmosphere. It generates in the cold regions of the world, near taiga and other cold biomes.

Biome features:

Tall poplars with red, orange, or yellow foliage. Each tree’s color is determined randomly when the world is generated.
Poplar leaves produce ambient sounds when placed near a log and surrounded by three or more leaves of the same type.
Like cherry and pale oak leaves, poplar leaves shed particles matching their foliage color.
Red Shrubs, Shelf Fungi, and Leaf Litter can be found in the biome.
Fallen poplars with fungi on their trunks are generated.
Rabbits, foxes, and cold-climate variants of domestic animals spawn here.
Abandoned Camps appear within the biome.

Abandoned Camp

The Abandoned Camp is a small structure found in most forest and open biomes of the Overworld. Its appearance varies by biome: it may be a simple tent, a stone shelter, a pond, a small garden, or overgrown buildings covered in cobwebs and foliage.

Biomes where the structure appears:

Meadow, Cherry Grove, Forest, Birch Forest, Flower Forest, Windswept Forest, Mottled Forest, Taiga, Snowy Taiga, Jungle, Swamp, Savanna, Pale Garden, and others.

Camp contents:

Chests and barrels containing items.
Straw beds and pillows.
Regular chests may contain Abandoned Camp maps.
The hidden oxidized copper chest contains secret loot: maps leading to buried Ancient Cities, Mineshafts, Desert Pyramids, and Warm Ocean Ruins.

Poplar

The poplar grows in the Mottled Forest and is the first tree in the game to have three different foliage colors within a single species.

Its foliage can be red, orange, or yellow; the color is determined randomly.
Its saplings can be bought from the Wandering Trader.
Shelf Fungi and Leaf Litter appear around living and fallen poplars.
Chopping down a poplar yields a new type of wood.

Poplar Wood

It has a light gray tone and pairs well with Pale Wood. The set includes the full range of wooden blocks:

Logs, planks, slabs, stairs, fences, fence gates, doors with a special pattern, trapdoors, buttons, pressure plates, signs, hanging signs, shelves, boats, and boats with chests.

Red Shrub

The Red Shrub is a new decorative plant that uniquely retains its bright red color in any biome. It can be found among the poplars of the Mottled Forest or grown with Bone Meal.

Found in the Mottled Forest; retains its red color in every biome.
Can be used in a Composter.
Applying Bone Meal to an adjacent block grows a new shrub.

Shelf Fungus

Shelf Fungus is an unusual fungus that grows directly on tree trunks and has springy properties. It can be found in the Mottled Forest and used as a building element, food source, or simply a fun way to jump from a height.

Grows on living and fallen poplars.
Comes in two sizes: small and large. Small fungi can be grown into large ones with Bone Meal.
Breaking a large fungus drops two fungi.
Can be used to make mushroom stew, suspicious stew, and rabbit stew.
Sold by the Wandering Trader.
Bounces when stepped on.
Can only be placed on full block faces.
