Hello, fellow minecrafters, adventure seekers, and true horse fans!

Honestly, when I first put copper armor on my horse, my first thought was: «Whoa, this is something else!» I didn’t expect so many feelings from such a simple item. Then it hit me: why not pit all the armors against each other? Which one is truly better — copper, iron, gold, or the old diamond classic? I’m in. Apples ready, saddles on, a whole herd of test horses! Get ready, the hype went through the roof!

Copper armor — Minecraft’s golden middle

Round 1: Style battle

To be honest, the first thing you want is to see how it all looks! For me, a horse’s appearance is half the riding fun.

  • Gold armor: Gorgeous! Shiny, shimmering, impossible to look away. But sometimes it feels like your horse ran away from an 80s party. Ready for the runway!
  • Iron armor: A classic. Strict, a bit plain, but reliable. Almost like a kingdom’s guard. If we’re honest, it doesn’t spark big emotions.
  • Diamond armor: VIP level. Pa-bam! The whole village is stunned when you ride in on that steed. Yes, it’s cool, but sometimes you want more warmth and personality.
  • Copper armor: Guys, love at first sight! Bright orange, then green patina — just like grandma’s antiques on the shelf! And best of all, the armor really «lives» with you — it oxidizes and changes. Want to lock in a shade? Wax to the rescue! To me, it’s a piece of art.

Verdict (pure emotion): Copper — no question, my favorite! It’s alive, changes with your mood, and you can always wow friends with a new hue.

Round 2: Durability test (with zombies, yep!)

Looks are great, but we’re here for protection! Like a mad scientist, I built a pen, put different armor on the horses — and unleashed hungry zombies (don’t try this at home!). Lots of thrills — especially when I had to save the sensitive ones with potions.

  • Gold: What can I say… protection is weak. Pretty, but for show, not for fights.
  • Iron: Things got calmer here. The horse holds up well, takes hits, though it sometimes peeks at adventure longing.
  • Copper: Here, honestly, I was truly surprised! Tougher than I expected. Feels like iron on steroids, a bit stronger. Loved it!
  • Diamond: No surprises — a tank among tanks. You could face the Ender Dragon and the horse will barely notice. But for daily use, it’s overkill.

My take: Fun and exciting. Copper truly delivers — strong protection, beats iron, but doesn’t reach diamond. For me — ideal for everyday adventures!

Round 3: Practicality — resources and cost

Honestly, I don’t like wasting rare resources. So accessibility matters. Lots of nuances pop up here!

  • Gold: Easy if luck is on your side. But protection is dubious, and I wouldn’t spend it just for looks.
  • Iron: A workhorse. Simple, reliable, accessible. Honestly, I used it most before.
  • Diamonds: No need to explain — it hurts to spend them; every ingot is precious.
  • Copper: A celebration! After a couple of hours mining, I had so much copper I could cast helmets for a month. And the protection is really great!

Verdict (my subjective feel): Copper armor — the golden middle! For me, absolute top: solid protection and easy to get.

Results from the heart

Honestly, this experiment brought tons of emotion. I’ve never compared horse armor with such zeal! Copper surprised me. I expected average and got: a pretty, «living» armor, decent protection, and cheap materials.

For the Ender Dragon it’s still diamond — that’s that. But for daily rides through forests, fields, and swamps, copper armor is my hero of the day. And if you haven’t tried it yet — fix that now!

I’ll go wash my horses and check if they’ve turned even greener after the last adventure. Wishing everyone cubic luck and copper victories!
