An Experiment with a Ghast That Will Change Your Minecraft Logistics

Greetings, tireless experimenters! It’s me again, and today we have something absolutely mind-blowing on the agenda. After flying around with my new friend, the Happy Ghast, the first thought that came to my mind was: «What if?..» What if we turn this gentle giant into a real airborne truck for mobs? That’s how the idea for the «Flying Ark» experiment was born. Buckle up, we’re taking off!
Preparing for Chaos
To be honest, I wasn’t sure where to start. In theory, it’s simple: a lead, a mob, a ghast. But in practice? This is Minecraft, there’s always a catch. To keep the experiment clean, I prepared a small pen with «volunteers»: a couple of sheep, one very disgruntled cow, two pigs clearly unprepared for such an adventure, and… a sniffer. Yes, a massive sniffer also decided to join, and its curious gaze showed it was ready for unexpected tests.
My loyal Happy Ghast, whom I named Marshmallow, floated nearby, emitting its soothing sounds. Little did it know that it was about to become the world’s first ghast livestock transporter.
Attempt One: The Flying Sheep
The first in line was a sheep. I calmly attached a lead to it, brought it to Marshmallow, and… how do I attach it? Through trial and error (and a couple of accidental hits), I figured out that you need to crouch and click the lead on the ghast. And, oh, miracle! Four ropes extended from Marshmallow’s underside, and the sheep hung in the air, swaying like a pendulum. It was incredible!
I mounted the ghast, and we slowly ascended. The sheep dangled below, its confused «ba-a-a» echoing around. The flight was a success! We made a victory lap over my base and landed gently. The first passenger was delivered safe and sound. Success!
Raising the Stakes: Cows, Pigs, and the Sniffer!
Encouraged by the success, I decided it was time to move on to the heavyweights. The cow. It was noticeably heavier, and honestly, I was afraid the lead wouldn’t hold. But no! Marshmallow lifted it with ease. Although the cow’s expression seemed to suggest it was rethinking its entire life.
Next up was the sniffer. Here, I was cautious: how would this giant furry creature behave in the air? I attached the lead, brought it closer, and… Marshmallow not only lifted this shaggy behemoth but also carried it safely over my head! The sniffer seemed to be thoroughly enjoying itself, spinning in all directions and occasionally sniffing the air — just in case it found a seed mid-flight. It was quite the amusing spectacle!
Then came the pigs’ turn. Both weren’t thrilled, but they patiently endured the experiment. Sometimes, I felt like they were hoping to finally become those «flying pigs» everyone jokes about. I caught myself thinking this scene looked like I was launching my own pig blimp.
But the real circus began when I tried attaching a boat. Yes, you can attach a boat to a ghast! I seated both pigs inside. This was my «business class». Lifting this construction into the air wasn’t easy, but Marshmallow managed. We were flying: me in the front, piloting the ghast, and behind, in the boat, two pigs swayed, creating perhaps the strangest sight my world had ever seen.
Conclusions and Reflections
Well, the experiment can be considered more than successful! The Happy Ghast — it’s not just a flying mount but a full-fledged transport vehicle for anything. Logistics in the Minecraft world will never be the same. Transport villagers across a dangerous canyon? Easy. Deliver a trader’s llamas to the top of a mountain? No problem. Evacuate your pets from a creeper-infested island? Now it’s possible!
This experiment once again proved how limitless the possibilities of our favorite game are. Every update — it’s not just new blocks but new stories and a reason for crazy yet fun ideas.
What experiments have you done with the Happy Ghast? Maybe you have ideas on who else could go on an aerial journey? Share your thoughts in the comments, I can’t wait to read them! See you soon in the skies.
