![Skripun and the Totem of Undying in Minecraft]()
Hello, experimenters! Be honest — don’t true Minecraft fans sometimes get crazy questions that keep them up at night? That’s exactly what happened to me: I couldn’t shake the thought — what if the Totem of Undying somehow saves Skripun? First thought: «What if the devs secretly decided to soften players’ harsh lives with a classy easter egg?» Seriously, the idea was so tempting I just couldn’t pass it up.

Preparing the arena: science to the masses!
I didn’t go small: I made a separate test world, gave myself a pile of resources (who doesn’t have fun in Creative?), and summoned our creaky test subject, already a star of the comments by then. Then — armed with a command — I put a pricey Totem of Undying in Skripun’s claws… Let me tell you, the show looks downright unusual! There stands a cheerful Skripun, and in his hand — like an archmage — a majestic item that seems to promise a second life.

Waiting for the magic
That’s where the most exciting part began. Honestly, a spark of hope lit up inside me: «Come on, Minecraft, surprise me! Show a secret bug, an easter egg, or some special animation for the attentive min-maxers!» To keep the experiment clean, I moved carefully: no rush, step by step toward the “creaking heart” — the very part that makes Skripun vulnerable.

A bit of magic, one hit — the heart is gone.
Pause. I wait. The thought flashes: «Now the totem will glow and save our experimental mob…» Three, five seconds pass. And… nothing! At all. Skripun, utterly phlegmatic, simply crumbles into a pile of particles. And the totem, held so proudly, doesn’t even twitch a brow. If I could insert a disappointed meme face — I’d slap it right here! It was something else.

Pros and cons: a brief wrap-up for curious minds
Pros of this approach:
- Experiments stoke interest: a chance to view mechanics as a researcher, not just a player.
- Chance to catch a bug or easter egg: what if it actually worked? Imagine the reaction!
- A true discussion starter: tests like this unite the community; sometimes a simple “no” fuels new questions.
Cons, unfortunately:
- No benefit from the totem for Skripun: the mechanic isn’t supported; the totem has no effect.
- No animations, not even a hint of a bug: a letdown for those who love Mojang’s unexpected tricks.
- Time and resources spent — with zero result: in the name of science, sure, but the aftertaste remains.
My take and a short postscript
Honestly, it stung a little. If only the devs had added a clever easter egg just for the most meticulous players… But alas, Skripun turned out to be a staunch conservative: no tricks, just an honest death from heart destruction. On the bright side, we now know for sure: even if you give a mob a Totem of Undying via command, it won’t save Skripun if you break the heart. No need to waste resources on such capers — personally verified!
What experiments have you run? Any ideas on what to test next? Share in the comments — I’m always up for your suggestions, and even the wildest hypothesis will find a place in my “lab” notebook! And don’t forget to subscribe — even crazier (and maybe slightly more successful) experiments are coming!
