![Dolphin at Full Speed in Minecraft]()
Hello, cubic friends! Today is not just a story but a full-fledged scientific experiment with Minecraft dolphins. You know, I have one weakness — testing everything! Honestly, the idea for the test came suddenly: the «Dolphin's Grace» effect gives the player such speed that it’s astonishing. But what if we give this magic to a dolphin itself? Will it become even faster? My first thought: could it turn into an underwater rocket with fins? Not joking, at that moment my imagination was already picturing sprint races among the corals.
Preparation: flags raised, dolphins ready!
I approached this thoroughly (Experiments — serious business!). To ensure the test’s accuracy, I prepared everything and more:
One test dolphin, ceremoniously named Flipper — because classics never die!
A second dolphin for control, just Bob, a chill guy.
A command block, for code magic.
And, of course, a cool underwater arena to keep my heroes from vanishing over the horizon.
Quickly entered the command /effect give @e[type=dolphin,limit=1,sort=nearest] dolphins_grace 60 1 — Flipper gets the effect, while Bob swims as he always has.

Something amazing is about to happen! Or not?
The moment of the experiment has arrived! I break the barrier, the dolphins dash out: Flipper — glowing with beautiful particles, shining, ready to impress. I freeze, watching every move, waiting for him to turn into an underwater hyper-train. But… nothing. Absolutely nothing! Flipper with the effect and Bob without it maintain the same speed, no difference at all.
I watched closely, didn’t blink once — both frolic, chase fish, and jump in sync. No matter what, there’s no difference! Honestly, it was something, but definitely not the explosion of expectations I had.

My take: joy and disappointment in one
I must admit, I was expecting a real miracle. Why doesn’t the Minecraft engine make a super-dolphin with this effect? But the harsh reality: a dolphin with «Dolphin's Grace» swims exactly the same as always. A bit of a letdown, but no hard feelings — sad, yet fun! After all, dolphins without buffs are already amazing, no wonder they’re top-tier in charisma and speed. The developers know what they’re doing.
Your turn!
Experiment done, conclusions drawn, spirits high. Now I want a new crazy Minecraft test! What would you test in my place? Maybe make a sheep multicolored with potions? Or try testing «fire resistance» on a snowman? I’m waiting for your ideas — let’s discuss, test, and have fun!
Hugs, until the next experiments!
