Hello, cubic geniuses! You know that moment when your head’s full of weird ideas and your hands are itching to build? The moment I mounted my first Happy Ghast, I thought: «What if I slap the Levitation effect on it?». You get it — no idea why, but I want to try! Spoiler up front: no miracles — Levitation does absolutely nothing to a ghast.

Serious prep for a not-so-serious trick

As usual, I set up a mini arena in the Nether: higher ceiling, thicker walls, safety last! On hand: my freshly tamed Happy Ghast (smiling like it knows something), a lead, a stash of snowballs, and… a command block with Levitation ready to go. First thought: «What’s taking off — the ghast or my self-esteem?».

What if we give a ghast Levitation? In Minecraft

Where there’s fire, there’s smoke — or how I didn’t take off

I applied Levitation — and? Nothing. Zero, blank, nada. The ghast keeps flying like always — on its ghast-commuter routes; Levitation doesn’t work. No stratosphere climb, no magic, no glitches — just nothing. Even with a lead on, even if you hop and snort nearby — the Happy Ghast stares with those huge eyes like: «Seriously, buddy? Anyone might levitate, but not me!».

Experiment results — an honest fail

  • Levitation doesn’t affect the Happy Ghast — don’t waste resources, nerves, or snowballs.
  • Controls don’t change: the ghast remains your steerable “air fleet.”
  • The ghast’s face doesn’t change either: same brick look, now as if saying: «So, tested my durability?».

Pros and cons of this crazy idea

Pros:

  • You busted the myth yourself — now you can tell your friends;
  • Another reason to laugh at yourself and your ideas;
  • The Happy Ghast is glad you didn’t send it to Mars!

Cons:

  • Time into the void — no funny animations, no glitches;
  • The effect doesn’t work — creative spark dips a little;
  • You might get slightly disappointed in ghast-experiments (just a little!).

Summary: doesn’t work, but lifts the mood

That was the “experiment”! Seems like nothing happened, yet lots of impressions. Sometimes Minecraft teaches: not every idea can be realized, but trying is worth it — maybe one of you gets it working on another modpack?

If you’ve got even crazier ideas or already tried something similar — share! After this flop, I only want to test more odd hypotheses. The world of Minecraft is for the curious. Experiment, laugh, and may your ghasts always be happy and as predictable as possible (or not)!
