Pour water on the Happy Ghast — what happens? In Minecraft

Hi everyone! There’s probably nothing cooler than inventing experiments the devs clearly didn’t plan for. Honestly, when a new oddity like the Happy Ghast appears, one question pops up in my head: “What absurd thing can I try with it?” First thought — what if I pour water on it? Who knows, maybe something magical happens? Spoiler: it was quite a show. Get ready — here’s the story of my strangest recent experience!
Setup: Hunting the ghastly ghost
I got serious: stocked up on fresh buckets of water, some ice, grabbed a cauldron, and with true researcher spirit launched Minecraft. Saying I was hyped is an understatement! On the way to the Nether I pictured the ghast flying off scared or suddenly glowing rainbow (why not? Imagination is everything).
As soon as I found that flying giggler, my mood shot to max: its laugh is contagious, like it’s calling you to a duel of madness.
First run: A bucket of water vs ghast laughter
Moment of truth — I sneak up, grab a bucket and… pour it right on the Happy Ghast. First shock: the water just goes THROUGH it! No splash, no sizzle, not even a hint of interest. Seriously, I almost fell into lava from laughing! It feels like it doesn’t notice the water at all — as if, to it, it simply doesn’t exist.
Reaction? Zero. The ghast keeps clowning around, and the water falls through the mob like ordinary air. If the Happy Ghast had a face, I’m sure it would look at me like, “Well, aren’t you something!”
Cauldron, ice — all for nothing!
But I don’t give up that easily. Plan B — place a water-filled cauldron and lure the ghast closer. Two “reactions”: mild indifference, and the cauldron water just as useless. Then came melting ice and pouring water right next to the mob: same result — the water goes through it like it isn’t there!
Confession: by the third try I was having fun. My “science” turned into farce — the ghast couldn’t care less, and water to it is like my invisible blocks in Creative.
My take: laughter beats even water!
Here’s what I realized: simple experiment, five-star emotions! I didn’t expect such detached indifference from a mob. This ghast is a champion of ignore: want to pour? be my guest — even a whole bucket. It keeps giggling, like saying: “Buddy, your water — your problem!”
Pros and cons of this crazy experiment
Pros:
- Great mood all evening — the ghast’s laughter is contagious!
- Unusual experience to share with all your friends.
- Total freedom for imagination: water in Minecraft acts weird sometimes, and it’s fun to watch.
- Low-resource and safe (if you ignore the lava underfoot...).
Cons:
- Zero practical use — you won’t get a drop of effect!
- If you hoped to surprise the mob — no chance; the ghast doesn’t care.
- Risk of slipping (from laughter!) into lava — personally verified.
What about you? Would you try it?
Now it’s your turn, fellow explorers and fans of Minecraft chaos: tried anything like this with mobs? What happened? Maybe you’ll “douse” it with something more interesting? Share your stories, subscribe, and smile at least half as sincerely as that ghast! In the end, even when your ideas pass right through a mob, there’s always a new reason to laugh — the key is to never stop chasing the absurd!
