  • Can an Iron Golem give a flower to a Copper Golem if it has a pumpkin on its head?

Hello, my cubic experimenters! You know how much I love testing the logic of Minecraft. Sometimes, completely crazy ideas pop into my head. And today is one of those days. So, I’m sitting here, looking at my copper workers, and thinking: "What if...?"

The idea was as simple as three blocks of dirt, but with a twist. We know that the kind Iron Golem sometimes gives flowers to baby golems, including our copper friend. But the copper one essentially has a lightning rod on its head. What if, instead, it had... a pumpkin? And not just any pumpkin, but one with a catch!

The first thought in my head was: "Okay, how do I make it wear the pumpkin permanently?" And that’s where commands and my favorite anvil come to the rescue.

Can an Iron Golem give a flower to a Copper Golem if it has a pumpkin on its head?

Preparing for the experiment (or how I broke the golem’s brain)

My plan was as follows:

  • Take a regular carved pumpkin.
  • Apply the "Curse of Binding" enchantment to it. Honestly, I love this curse — it’s made for weird experiments like this.
  • Using the /item replace command, place this cursed pumpkin directly on the unsuspecting Copper Golem’s head.

The process was... amusing. The golem stood there, blinking its little lights, while I, like an evil genius, permanently attached a vegetable to its head. The result was something else! It looked like it was ready for Halloween, and not just this year, but the next one too.

The moment of truth: will the meeting happen?

So, we have a Copper Golem with a non-removable hat. Nearby, his older brother — imposing but kind-hearted Iron Golem — is strolling around. I held my breath. Would he consider his copper buddy "occupied"? Maybe he’d think the accessory was enough and the flower unnecessary?

The Iron Golem approached... extended his hand... and...

YES! HE DID IT!

Without any issues, he gave a poppy to the Copper Golem, who had a pumpkin proudly sitting on its head! The flower neatly "passed" through the pumpkin and settled in its rightful place on the lightning rod.

It was incredible! Minecraft, you never cease to amaze me. Turns out, the game checks for the presence of a flower, not any other item on the head. The logic is simple: no flower — here’s a flower. And it doesn’t matter what else you’re wearing.

The experimenter’s verdict

Honestly, I was almost certain it wouldn’t work. But the result genuinely delighted me. The "Curse of Binding" doesn’t stop good deeds!

So, if you want your Copper Golem to be the most stylish guy in the village — with both a pumpkin and a flower — now you know how to do it. Practical use? None. Fun? A million!

What crazy experiments have you done? Share them in the comments, I’d love to read about them! See you next time in the world of blocks and discoveries.
