Who Is Building Westeros?

WesterosCraft is not the work of one person — or even a small team. The scale of the collaboration is striking. The Kingswood around King’s Landing alone was created by more than 100 contributors. When Did It All Begin?

After that, the plan is to move on to Essos, the other continent in the world of the series, home to the Free Cities, Meereen, and many other iconic places. The community is also considering using the finished map for PvP and roleplay game modes, so Westeros becomes more than just a museum and turns into a living game world. A public map download is not planned for now: the team wants to maintain control over the project’s quality and integrity.
